A Cow with a Moustache on Shoulder Bag

Description: Apron featuring a pun and a simple design. This was my entry for the Threadless Design Challenge "Doodlecore". The focus is centered on a very simple drawing of a black and white cow with a grey moustache and horns, with both ears tagged. It also includes the text "MOO-STACHE" at the base and a blue background.

On the technical side of the design, the outline was done digitally through vectors with the help of the picture of a real cow that served as reference. With the outline done, it was filled with white color, and then used the standard brush to paint the black parts. The tags in both ears and the eyes were added later in different layers. With most of the work done, vectors were used again to draw a moustache, which given the theme of the contest it didn't have to be perfectly symmetrycal, and painted it grey.

That was the finishing touch of the cow, but not of the design, so a gradient was applied in different tones of blue, and finally with the standard brush and using the mouse, the text "MOO-STACHE" was written under the gradient. Making use of the mouse allowed a more imperfect look, but with some letters many tries were needed, so it wasn't completely unreadable.

While the image part of the design stands out in the center of the bag cover, the fact that this article is only available in a dark color might make it a bit difficult for the text to stand out; still you can carry your stuff with style with this efficiently-designed totally amazing shoulder bag.
